We were on-site last weekend at the Terwillegar Community Centre for all 3 days of the Spring On Ice Tournament, hosted by KC South. We took player and team action photos as well as the Team Power Posters. Team Power Posters were a new offering for us this year and the teams absolutely loved them, of the 57 teams this year, we photographed 24 of them. Teams booked in, players came to get photographed individually and we worked our magic to bring them together to build a fierce team panoramic.

Is someone a photographer just because they have a “nice camera” or even just “a camera”? Some of my fellow pro-photogs say a resounding NO!

I disagree. I believe that ANYONE with ANY device that capture’s an image is a photographer. That’s it. No other details are needed. They could be just a first timer that picks up a camera, sees something they like and take a picture of it. They just took a photo - so they are a photographer.
